The mighty SC-88
This synth meant a lot to me, since I really had to scrimp to get it. Even with my employee discount, it cost something like $650 back in 1999 or so, and I basically had no income, but the promise of a new job. Fortunately it came through and I was able to pay my credit card bill, but it was touch and go there for a while!
